Heger writing a poem to his wife almost every day, and illustrating each with a picture. Gina's Poems captures the essence of their relationship and journey through life in Los Angeles, touching their innermost thoughts and feelings. Heger leads off by establishing the notion that we have already found "The Beach" however, because we are so busy looking for it, we cannot see it right in front of us. "Love is Giving" sends the message that we will receive what we give. If we want to be loved we have to love, if we want to receive a hug, we have to hug, if we want to have good friends we have to be a good friend. Set to a vibrant picture of a sunflower, the image and message has substance and beauty. "Moment by Moment" tells the story of the past and future in which most of us live, where we are busy looking for what we missed in the past, or fearing what we will miss in the future. With all this looking we unfortunately miss the now, or what Siegfried calls the "bliss." "Your Fellow Men" tells of our fear to connect to each other. Amapola - Book Review
Alan Heywood writes a stimulating, though sometimes
improbable, adventure novel in Amapola. What I mean by
this is that the characters are seemingly very lucky or were
simply at the right place, at the right time. Yet, other scenes
are somewhat reminiscent of a James Bond movie. I liked
the humor Alan dabbled throughout the novel and admired
the strong female characters. This book certainly has a
heavy slant towards the importance of friendships and a
pro-Canada theme ? which I loved.

Giving Feedback or Writing Reviews of Bad Stuff
Some book reviewers say that when they don't like a book, they simply don't review it. I'd love to take the easy way out, but when I think about it from a reader's perspective? I want to know when a book sucks. I recently had to give low ratings to a book. I posted it on Amazon and no where else. More people find the book on Amazon than on my site or other places where I post reviews.
